Frequently asked questions
New families often have questions about joining our team. Two common inquiries are: "Do they have to compete?" and "Do you have to know how to swim?" While Dust Devil Aquatics is a competitive team, the focus is on personal growth and developing swimming skills. We encourage participation in competitions but understand that every swimmer progresses at their own pace. Coaches make sure athletes are physically and mentally prepared for races. Regarding swimming ability, while basic water comfort is beneficial, our coaches are dedicated to teaching and refining swimming techniques. We welcome swimmers of varying skill levels who are eager to learn and improve.
