Practice schedule for Dust Devil Aquatics

Consistency is key to athletic development. Explore our seasonal practice schedule designed to support competitive swimmers while accommodating other school sports commitments.

Understanding our practice schedule

Dust Devil Aquatics structures its practice schedule to maximize training effectiveness while respecting our athletes' commitments to other activities. Our seasonal approach ensures consistent, focused training without overworking our swimmers.

May to August

During the summer months, June through August, our practice sessions are scheduled in the mornings. This allows athletes to train efficiently before the heat of the day.

Intermediate/Competitive groups:                          7am-8:30am M-Th

Beginners:                                                                    8am-9am T & Th

August to December

From August through December, our practice schedule shifts to evening hours. This accommodates school schedules and ensures athletes are not overworked during other school sports seasons.

Schedule dependent on pool availability due to town activities, and high schools.

High school athletes

Athletes participating in high school swim seasons must be unattached from Dust Devil Aquatics during that period (January-May), adhering to competitive regulations.

They can still compete but only Unattached.

Practice duration and preparation

We tailor practice durations to skill level and expect all swimmers to arrive prepared to make the most of every session.

Practice duration by skill

Our practice durations are set to optimize training for each swimmer's experience level. Competitive swimmers with prior experience will have dedicated one-and-a-half-hour sessions to focus on advanced techniques and endurance. Newer swimmers will participate in one-hour sessions, designed to build foundational skills and confidence in the water.

Prepare for practice

To ensure a productive and smooth practice, all swimmers are expected to arrive early and ready to get in the water. This means having your swimsuit on, goggles ready, and any necessary equipment prepared before the session begins. Being punctual and prepared helps us maximize our training time and reduces disruptions.

Schedule changes and updates

While we strive for consistency, practice schedules may occasionally change due to unforeseen circumstances or facility availability. All updates and notifications regarding changes to the practice schedule will be promptly made available on our official website, Instagram, and through the CrewLab team app. Please check these platforms regularly to stay informed about the latest schedule adjustments.
